We were NOT taught to do this as kids in the 70s and 80s. As John Taylor Gatto has so cogently argued, our schools had been systematically stripped of this kind of curricula sometime around the turn of the 20th century, and for good reason. A classically educated population is very difficult to "govern", in the modern use of the term "governance".

Two generations ago, this was not a problem. Not because of propaganda. “Strangers” were not protected by various immunities. You just needed to tell your local sheriff a few words, and order was restored quickly, quietly and effectively.

Great treatment of critical thinking, including the problems with the win-the-debate technique.

Thank you, Domenic!

Excellent. I was not taught this, as it wasn't a skill my parents knew. I think we did a bit better with our kids, but there's always room for improvement

Excellent! The books look like just the ticket to help deprogram, or avoid programming in the first place. Much of this is simply about the parents actually being the ones to raise their own children, rather than warehouse them in government camps all day. The vaccine mandates are causing many parents to pull their kids from schools and homeschool them as the only way to protect their health. A very good outcome for these lucky kids.

I was fortunate as my parents greatly sacrificed during my jr. high school years so I could attend a private school where I had an incredible education. During those years my history/social studies teacher taught us lessons on recognizing propaganda techniques which had been reinforced by my mom at home and our pastor. When I was in college I was able to use that knowledge to write papers in my history/social studies classes that often disagreed with my professor's viewpoint but because of my ability to have legitimate debates to their conclusions were given high grades. In one case I ended up making friends with the prof and he became a longtime mentor.

Your kids will go a long way in life with the skills you've taught them. They'll be prepared for college and real life in the world because they understand reality, instead of thinking all the world is bubblegum and unicorns. Thanks for sharing this information. More parents need to know that sheltering their kids isn't the right thing to do, instead, educating them so they have the full armor of knowledge for protection will keep them safe. Knowledge is freedom.
